hello helloo..i would say i'm missing you all like crazy but i'm having far too much of a good time out here - JOKE!! i do miss you all and hope you're all ok!
Wednesday was shockingly hot and we headed up to Darling Harbour (i know i wrote about this in my last entry, but i got confused with thursday so have added it in, in more detail) which is an absoutely stunning place to go if you like your boats! There was a cruise liner pulled up and i've not seen anything so big in my life it was HUGEEEEE!!! We sat out by the river and got some lunch and then went to the aquarium, which had all sorts of widlife on offer to feast your eyes on, my favourite were the tail dancing penquins, sooo cute! I won't go on too much about it mind, cos an aquariums an aquarium at the end of the day, but the photos are on facebook if you want to have a gander
sooo onto thursday, today we walked from Bondi beach back to Coogee! The beach at Bondi, although much busier was gorgeous and Hannah and I enjoyed wave jumping, each time being dragged under further by the massive waves! The costal walk was incredible and although it was so so hot, it was a really chilled out stroll with some fantastic 'photo ops'! Stopped off at one of the beachs along the way and had our first Aussie BBQ nicely cooked by Dan and most of us caught some rays on the beach while the energetic ones played Volleyball and frisbee!
Yesterday we went up to the Blue Mountains which are b-e-autifullll! Our tour guide Billlll first stopped at a national park to see some kangaroos, and I thought they were cute cuddly creatures but after Bill had finished telling us some of his stories, i don't think i want to get too close to one now!! And then it was the start of our first 'walk', little did we know that this would turn into an exhausting '2hr' hike!! The way down was stunning, i've never seen views like it, and walks in the UK will never been the same!! The way back up 700 steps was not so nice, and to say we were dying at the top was a slight understatement!! But still definitely an experience i'll never forget! The last walk, although approached with slight hesitance was again a beautiful one and this time all 900 steps (!!!!) were down thank god! Again absolutely stunning views and a sighting of the three sisters made this walk so enjoyable! The way back up was slightly more exciting as we all climbed aboard the steepest railway in the world (built to carry coal up the mountains)! As we clung on for dear life it hauled us up practically vertically backwards up the mountain, definitely beats Obilivon and Nemsis anyday!! Got back to the hostel and totally wiped out on the bed, however soon awoke to a baby bird being nursed in our room (after being covered in beer by one of the guys), which ended up having a free bed for the night and hopefully this morning has been whisked off to the animal hospital!!
Anyways thats enough from me for now guys, it's too hot outside to be stuck indoors so off to the beach i go (am i making you jealous yet ). Travelling up the east coast next week, probably tuesday after spending a day or so in the city (its about time we did some serious shopping!!) which will be great fun as Coogee is becoming a little boring now, even though the beach is practically on our doorstep, everything has been done and it's now time to move on...exciting times ahead! So will keep you updated when i can, love to you all, big kisses! XXXXXX
