Hmm, busy week
On Saturday I trekked part way up Kili to get to the highest waterfall in East Africa, is 90m tall, and really impressive, unfortunately, the water in it had come pretty much straight from the glacier on Kili, so it was way to cold to even consider swimming, though I had a (very short) paddle. The guide who took us there was amazing though, he had loads of really interesting stories, he gave us all Chagga peace leaves, and he was the tourism representative for Shimbwe.
Sunday was a fairly quiet day, I did some washing and then we wandered into Moshi for lunch, some shopping, the football and tea. I had my first Zanzibar pizza, (not actually a pizza, wierdly enough) but that was about it.
Yesterday, Anna and I went to see a tree guy in Arusha, he was amazing! He lives on this 70,000 acre estate with a bunch of other ex pats, theyre reintroducing the land back to how it should naturally be, and they have zebra, girrafe, leopards, though unfortunately I didnt see any. He runs a tree nursery there and he gave us 4 free trees to help us set up our own nursery in Uchira, which was great of him. He also trains dogs to find land mines, and he showed us around the kennels, the dogs are worth 15,000 USD each!!!!
This morning I havent really done much, but Ive been grass shopping all afternoon, and Im going to need a taxi to take it back to Ucira, as theres no way I can handle all that lot on a daladala.
Baadaye!
