Nadia's 5 Month Adventure
Wow, my first week in tanzania has been absolutely incredible, from riding in insanely driven dalla-dallas to celebrating st paddy's day with banna beer and konyagi (tanzania's answer to vodka) I'm loving every minute. I've been to immigration to get my work permit, and should have it in the next couple of weeks, but mostly my days involve shamba-ing in the mornings while it's (relatively) cool and helping out with english club in the afternoons. The food here is amazing, most days we have ugali (maize flour and water) with some sort of sauce, but last night we had ommlettes (major treat, eggs are expensive). We also have a lot of fresh fruit, as it's so cheap here, mangoes are around about 5p each, and they're gorgeous here.
