Nick and I woke up around 6 am and couldn't get back to sleep. The kids soon climbed into our bed with all their electronic devises, pillows and teddies and it became time for a cup of coffee!! We had a very slow pack up and were on the road by 930 am but couldn't check in to Cooinda until 11 am so we stopped at the Yellow Water boat ramp and walked the boardwalk. We saw a few birds and watched some fish jumping but didn't see any crocs. Two fishermen were just finishing as we arrived and showed the kids two enormous Barramundi they had caught. Check in at the caravan park was very easy even though it was busy and while we were setting up the camp manager came over to check we were OK - first time that's happened!! We had lunch and then did a couple of hours of school work although enthusiasm was at an all time low - especially for the eldest!! We spent the rest of the afternoon around the pool, which is very flash - more like a lagoon. Jonny and Anna got cold after an hour so the three of us returned to the van and they watched a movie while I made a potato salad for dinner. We eventually headed back to the pool for another swim and stayed until just before dusk. Dinner was sausages in a bun and the salad but no one has much of an appetite in this weather. We spent the rest of the evening inside as the mosquitoes are fairly shocking here and we also have nests of green tree ants around our site, which have given everyone a bit of a nip!
