Today we planned to relax from all the hiking we did over the past three days here in Patagonia. We rented mountain bikes in the morning and started biking Chorillo del Salto trail, which is an easy 4 km trail closest to the village. However, it wasn't so easy biking over the gravel against the Patagonian wind... I had to stop and walk uphill several times, being an inexperienced mountain biker. At one point we saw a car whose driver lost control and ended up in a ditch. It was kind of strange. The weather was very temperamental today, and we realized we were quite lucky over the past few days because it was sunny and pleasant for hiking. Tomorrow, I will try to go glacier trekking on the largest glacier in Patagonia, Viedma. Hopefully, it will not be too windy. Then we're going back to El Calafate and catching a bus to Puerto Natales to start the W hike in Torres del Paine next week. We had good training for it here in El Chalten.
