When we arrived in Geelong after completing the great ocean road we went into the citys shopping centre to kill some time before Sarah finished work. Sarah lives back home near bury and is in Australia on work placement... not a bad place to do a placement! We finally met Sarah at her house around 5.30pm. Here we catched up and enjoyed some beers and wine. Whilst we were getting ready to go out, Sarah had organised with her friend Denise that we would meet her when we were ready. Denise was not happy that we didn't turn up on time.... boy she was a moody woman... 'hello, please to meet you both..... bye!' haha. See you later then! Denise thankfully didn't join us for drinks and food out in Geelong. We had pizza's at an italian which were amazing and very good value considering we were talking aussie prices. All this whilst enjoying another bottle of wine. After our dinner out we went next door into the edge bar where we enjoyed more drinks. Peter was the only person with shorts on as he didn't have any going out pants. Peter was also disappointed that he couldn't get an imperial pint of lager, having to settle for a spooner... which is around a half pint and still cost over £5! Sarah got talking to a aussie man called Alan, he had no sense of humor, just like most australians... they just don't understand us northerners! We later got refused entry into a nightclub as Peter had his thongs on (thongs = flip-flops!) so we headed back to Sarahs where we enjoyed a couple more drinks before bed. Peter and Lucy went to bed while Sarah said 'i'll just go snog that minger australian guy Alan in the common room'.... haha. Hilarious. We all woke up the following morning with sore heads... Sarah alot worse than the both of us. After showers and a freshen up we left Sarah to enjoy her hangover and we headed to Melbourne, stopping for a Macca's breakfast... (Macca's is what the aussies called McDonald's)
