Today happens to be Laura's Birthday which makes it all a little more special. I rise early to prepare a little happy birthday email - I've booked us an apartment in Paris for the last weekend in June. Laura gets up a little later, opens her cards, reads email, everyone is happy.
We head off to a flea market that we'd spotted a few days earlier. We both buy new sunglasses (2 for $14) and try out our first ever corn dogs. Actually quite tasty. We finish up buying a load of fruit and vegetables. Good quality and value, no complaints.
Next up, first trip to an "Atlanta Bread Company" joint. It's kind of like a better version of Subway / O'Briens. The sandwiches are huge and it's free refills on the drinks. We can barely move afterwards.
By now the weather is starting to turn - looks like a tropical storm is on the way. We head back to the apartment. A little while later, it's raining cats and dogs and there is thunder in the air. We had intended to eat out on the beach but the weather is not really permitting. We cancel, eat in and decide to bake a cake. The cake goes really well. We throw some candles on it, switch off the lights and present it to Laura. By this time, we're all pretty drunk. We talk for an hour or so on topics ranging from the internet to solar panels. We have a lovely time and then it's off to bed.
