Since I blogged last, SO much has happened! Which I am sure you have all heard about!
After blogging and reapplying our deodorant we all loaded up on crackers, cookies, cheese and 9 bottles of wine and hopped on the metro to the eiffel tower. We found a spot with a great view and super close to the tower so we plopped down and opened the first bottle. It was SO hot, but the view made it worth it! We snacked, drank, hung out and took pictures. Ryan and I were taking numerous pictures in front of the tower (you know me I am not happy until I get the perfect one...) Ryan said 'I have another pose for you' and he got down on one knee. I looked at him and said 'That is stupid it looks dumb'.....(i didn't get what was going on) he tooked my hand and slipped something on my finger. I just looked at him and said 'are you serious? are you kidding me? is this from a candy machine? are you serious?' he kept reassuring me it was real and ALL (there were hundreds of ppl around us since it was Bastille Day) started clapping and cheering for us. It was the most romantic thing ever! No one knew it was going to happen either! But, luckily Corey and Kelly were sitting there w- their cameras and started snapping photos and videos of the entire thing! I did not expect it at all! So many ppl would ask me if it was going to happen before we left and I kept telling them no, I think Ryan was getting tired of hearing about it so we made a joke bout it the whole trip! The day before we were on the arc and I told him it would be a perfect place to propose to me.... little did I know he was going to do it the next day! We are both so excited and it has only made our trip that much more fun and special! After that we finished the wine and watched the fireworks....which might I add were the coolest thing I have ever seen. It was amazing! When we got back to the hotel Ryan told me I had not even looked at my ring yet! I did.... and it is beautiful! I cannot wait to show you all pictures shortly!
The next day we went to Versailles and stood in line for about 2 hours. But it was worth it! It was beautiful on the inside! So elaborate! That night we went to a restaurant and had our nicest meal yet! It was sooooooooooo good! i had mussels, salmon, and a cheese platter. Ryan ate a salmon salad, duck, and sorbet. Our last day in Paris was rainy...BUT cooler which was nice! We went to the Louvre in the morning and browsed around then stopped for lunch and ate crepes and quiche. We also climbed to the second level of the eiffel tower. It was almost 700 steps! Getting to the top made it worth it though! What a view!!!! Then we headed to the train station and got on our night train to Venice.
Paris was amazing! The engagement made it even better, too!
Sorry I did not blog more, but the keyboards were so different that it took forever to type! They are pretty similar to home here in venice. I will update you all tomorrow on our day!
xoxo
miss you all!
bon jour!
