We had the great privilege of doing an awesome float on the Yellowstone River with my dad, a great fishing guide in his own right. The guide rows the boat into the perfect position for the others to fish -- myself, Barb and Chris all caught several fish. We caught Rainbow Trout, Cutthrout Trout, Brown Trout and Whitefish, all that were 12-18 inches.
We floated down the canyon for 6 hours on a gorgeous, sunny day. We cooled our feet in the river as we went and saw both nesting Ospreys as well as a pair of Bald Eagles, one of whom swooped down to catch a fish right in front of us!
We enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch, prepared by Barb near Devil's slide. While were having this fun, Kiana and Monica spent the day going to the Bogert Pool in Bozeman, learning to golf at the Bridger Creek Golf Course (Kiana's first lesson, compliments of Grandpa Mike), and visiting a fun park with dinosaurs.
