Another amazing day in the land down under!! Am still feeling a bit wiped from the tournament so decided that perhaps today would be a could day to ride the ferries and explore. I headed down to the harbour and found a ferry to Manly. The ferry ride out was extremely smokey (lots of fires burning in Australia right now) and there was not much to be seen. I was feeling a bit sad that I may not be able to get any good pictures today! Arrived in Manly really not sure what I was doing there but I followed the crowd and ended up at Manley Surf Beach. I also found gelato....sat and watched the surfers and ate my treat! I explored Manley a bit and decided to head back to Sydney Harbour and hop another ferry! Thankfully on the way back the smoke had lifted and I was able to get so e pictures. On the ride back I had a great visit with a guy from Brisbane. I hopped on a ferry to Darling Harbour that made a few stops along the way. I had lunch in Darling Harbour and meandered around just taking it all in. I also discovered that it was a very short walk to my hotel from Darling Harbour. I window shopped my way back to my hotel. For a day that I planned not much walking, I sure did a LOT of walking!! I dropped my back pack and big camera off in my room and headed back out. I visited Hyde park and watched a mean game of chess played on a chess board on the ground. It was very intense, but pretty cool to watch! I made my way down to the Opera House and had an appetizer and a beer at the Opera House Bar. I explored the Opera House then made my way to the Drama Theatre at Opera House to see Romeo and Juliet. What an amazing play!! It was a modern day Romeo and Juliet spoken in Shakespearean. A great way to end a beauty day! A nice walk back to my hotel. I am enjoying the sights but am itching to get out of the city and back on the road. Tomorrow I will do the city tour on the hop on hop off bus....it is supposed to rain so will what the day brings! Goodnight from Sydney!
