Just found this idyllic riverside camping spot near Coen. We did a tour of the Weipa bauxite mine earlier today then hit the road south!

After resting for 2 nights at seisia we ate on the road again to Weipa There are a lot of WW2 plane wrecks scattered around Bamaga this is of a DC 10 that left Brisbane with 2 US officials on board.

We made it to the weipa camping grounds. Just saw a fabulous subset over the water. It is very a pleasant temperature and we are still sitting outside in t shirts drinking champagne!!

Today we went to the very tip of Cape York. Us and quite a few others as it is the peak season. We have just had dinner and are staying in one of the best located caravan parks right on the tip of Australia overlooking Torres Stait and all the islands.
