Used to early mornings now... 7am departure from Turtle island and the boat driver really put his foot down so it was a thrilling ride back to Sandakan. Straight into the coach for a short ride to the Sepilok Orangutan rehabilitation centre. This is a managed and protected area of rain forest where Orangutans can roam freely and it also has a kindergarten for orphaned Orangutans. We walked to the feeding area and saw a few, but the main event was watching the baby and youngsters play, we sat there for hours, it was very funny as they rolled and chased and fought and swung all in the interest of learning how to get back into the wild. They all looked very happy. On the way out we bumped into an Orangutan on the board walkway. We ended up being so close that it grabbed Lily's arm on the way past! Another amazing place we cannot believe we have seen so many Orangutans on this holiday. We stayed the night at the Sepilok Jungle Resort which was comfortable and had the added bonus of a swimming pool. Last day tomorrow in Borneo.
