Arrived in Wellington last evening, Sunday our time, after a week and half of travelling through North Island. Several wine tastings and excellent lunches at wineries. Picture is of Daniel who looked after us at Craggy Range winery, near Havelock North. Great scenery as we travelled south through Palmerston North, Masterston, Carterton, viewing the NZ version of Stonehenge (rubbish) and down into Wellington. Planning a trip over to Picton by ferry on Weds but basically relaxing and meeting up with
the NZ side of the family before flying to Christchurch to pick up our motorhome on Sat for 3 weeks in South Island. Weather holding up @ 21 today but forecast to improve to about 33 by the middle of next week around Christchurch

Steve Lucas Super choice of Craggy Range ! Before you decamp Wellington, try and seek out some Pinot Noir from Martinborough in that Region(Wairarapa) - Escarpment or Ata Rangi won't let you down. Two degrees C and steely grey in Bingham ! Wonderful ! Forest 6 'uddersfield 1. Billy is back !
mikeyvonnewarren Hi Steve, we've been to Martinborough and had lunch at Poppies, a new winery, excellent tasting and good platter with our selected wine. Had some excellent Pinot Noir so far, and Sav, and Pinot Gris and.......! Pleased to hear that the Bingham weather is up to usual standard. Not sure about the cricket, very patchy performances.
