Kia Ora. Weather continues to be kind to us and we spent yesterday on a ferry from Wellington to Picton. Stunning views. The picture is taken from the ferry as we left Picton, in Queen Charlotte Sound. Journey a little over 3 hours each way. Saw our first penguins and seals on the way. The journey down Tory channel and the Sound were really spectacular and I'm not sure photos will do it justice but we also have some video footage. We have had the grand tour of Wellington and tonight (Thurs) we will be having dinner with Alistair (Rose's brother) so some sparkling stuff will be on the menu I'm sure. Apparently there is a shortage of Moet, not sure if that's down to Alistair! Still planning the future but we'll probably drive back to Auckland after our South Island adventure. One highlight of the ferry trip back was watching the end of the cricket at Napier. Just finished as we docked so perfect timing. So, a couple of days relaxing combined with some more local sightseeing which will probably include walking aimlessly around some shops! And then a flight down to Christchurch early Sat to pick up the Motorhome. Will continue to blog where possible but access to WiFi may be patchy at best. Will e-mail if difficult to blog.
