It's official, camp is coming to an end WAY TOO QUICKLY!!

With only a bit over 2 weeks left, Colour War (the biggest camp event on the calendar) started yesterday. Many of you probably already know what colour war is, but for those uninitiated it's a 5 day long competition in which the entire camp is split into red vs. blue. The compete in all types of competition exactly like College days, with a winner named on the final day. The kids absolutely love it and get really pysched, but it can be exhausting for the counsellors who are put forward as leaders for each team.

We had rope burn last night, with my team losing yet again...I can see a pattern emerging! I'm on the blue aliens, which suits me fine with all the blue aussie clothing I have, but I'm heading away on my off days for the final 2 days of colour war so to be honest I don't really care about the outcome. Going away also meant I missed out leading a team, but it's a decision I'm glad I made as I'd probably already be sick again from the workload and cheering required.

Some other highlights since the last entry have been seeing the new Batman film (amazing!!!!!!) and having the luxury of not havign to babysit 80 kids while you do it! We managed to get a car and I drive us on our night off which was fun. We've had a mini staff soccer world cup, with bloody England taking the title with the Rest of the world 2nd, Aus 3rd and the girls 4th. It seems if you go easy on the girls on don't get your goal difference up, you end up not doing very well. Trust the poms to put the boot in and beat the Girls' team by 50! hahaha.

We've also had some of the most painful events at camp recently, including the play on Wednesday night...Oh my god shoot me now. Imagine sitting in a coffin for 1.5hrs in stiffling humidity/heat and watching a silent movie (audio isn't a strong point of the drama dept.) with terrible acting. There have been fun times as well and I just got back from my early morning fishing trip with Bryan from the kitchen...great fun! before you ask..no I didn't catch anything, but I'm getting better!
