She speaks. O, speak again, bright angel, for thou art As glorious to this night, being o'er my head, As is a winged messenger of heaven Unto the white-upturned wond'ring eyes Of mortals that fall back to gaze on him When he bestrides the lazy puffing clouds And sails upon the bosom of the air.
Will this little poem make up for my oversight in not sending a Valentine's card? Apendages crossed and knocking on wood (nod, nod, wink, wink!)

What is the air quality like in PNG? Here in Chiangmai we have been suffering a tad in the last few days as the farmers burn off all the stubble in preparation for planting new crops in March/April. Visibility has been seriously affected and now I know why I always develop an irritating cough at this time of the year.

Dear all
We've off up into the highlands tomorrow (Friday) flying to Port Moresby, then to Kundiawa - our town for the rest of the year. We may not have regular access to internet/phone, so please be patient if you don't hear from us.
Just a reminder - anything you write on this message board can be read by anyone who accesses the site
Love to all
Philip
We had our own bit of excitement yesterday when one of the regular swim club members cried out for help from the shallow end of the pool!
It turned out that there was a scorpion, which looks a bit like a crab, swimming along happily at the bottom of the pool! Kit got a fishing net and yanked the thing out, putting it (still alive) in a bucket in the store-room. Haven't seen it today.
Last night the stew pot was bubbling away at the end of the garden where the staff live and there was a wonderful aroma of herbs wafting in our direction...

Hi you two!
Thought you were supposed to be there to work???!!! Anyway, glad to hear that you seem to be coping, apart from Alison with the creepy crawlies! Have you seen any reptiles or snakes yet?
Bob's off this afternoon to "ID" some of the kids who attacked us the other night, then the police say they will "round them up"! The trouble is as you always say if the police don't get the backing of the parents then it's very difficult to make any impact on these kids behaviour. One of them, aged about 14 or 15 I think, bragged to Bob that he had been in the Woodcutters with his dad drinking earlier on in the evening, so what hope is there?
How did the story go and are you fluent in the local lingo yet??!!
Love to you both, Suexx
