Whew! It's hot here today! 36 C and rising!! The forecast predicts thunderstorms later tonight which would break almost three months without rain. No sign of this as yet, however. It is 5.30 pm and the sun is still shining down on us. Dad has been in the pool twice today to cool off! Checked out the photos on Alison's school blog earlier just to see if there were any new ones yet. Keep them coming, it makes life interesting and shows us all what a small place Planet Earth has become as a result of the Wonderful Worldwide Web!

Dear Alison & Mike
So pleased to hear that you have made it safely and are settling in well.
We were very keen to hear about the snorkelling, and wish we could have been there with you...we guess the fish life at PNG is stunning.
Can't wait to hear more!

Great to see the pics Al keep em coming, the kids look wonderful. Sue Alex and I were attacked by a bunch of 15 year olds outside Belfairs Park last Friday night walking back from the Indian. Bottles and beer cans were thrown at us and I got a cut on my head, police statements "the lot"!
Seems idyllic where you are, hope the kids still have a childhood there, our society is losing its way with children I fear.. And you two will help make a difference I'm sure..

Interesting new photos! I wasn't wearing my reading glasses the first time through and was convinced the little boy at the end of the row in the second picture was a "Lifer"! Then I realised it said "Libert"...
Do you all have to salute and sing the National Anthem at morning assembly? It would be a good idea if this was introduced into English schools - instill a sense of pride in the motherland - as well as bringing back corporal punishment and the workhouse.

Happy to hear you arrived safely and seem to be hitting the ground running, Your photos are great - I seem to be developing wander lust! It's Saturday morning here and freezing again - we are recovering from another dumping of snow which nearly trapped me in school on my last parents evening on Thursday. I have achieved the great escape and had a terrific final day yesterday - many positives to remember, You'll be happy to know I celebrated with a Thai mea in the evening, Keep smiling. John
