It was great, as ever, to speak to you on Sunday. On hols this week - have spent 2 days cutting the hedge back. We filled 26 green bags which took 3 trips to the tip to get rid of it all!

All I can say is 'wow!' How different and how exciting! Enjoying reading about your exploits. You still sound as enthusiastic as the day you arrived and loving the photos. Life will never quite be the same again will it?. Half term here though having started new job do not get the same hols but I am enjoying the change and it is a small price to pay for my sanity!!!! Another tale of robbery fraud and corruption - I'm talking about our politicians not your islanders! Have you heard the news re MP's expense claims? In the corruption stakes they make your islanders look like p**** cats.

Glad to hear that Mike has recovered from his stomach upset and that your language club is successful.

Things much the same here - Hilary very busy co-ordinating new govt 1:1 initiative, training learning mentors ( did I mention that she's retired?!), parish council work, quilting, garden, greenhouse and allotment.

Just read your recent blog re robbery - wow!

You are very stoic in being prepared to find some positive outcomes from such an unpleasant experience. However, authorities here are blaming increases in crime on the credit crunch and PNG is a very poor country so perhaps it is inevitable that a minority of people will be prepared to turn to crime.

We had an enjoyable day on our ruby wedding anniversary and Hilary's retirement do on Thursday was a great success.
