Hello mountain fans!! We're here in 'Breck', as the cool cats call it, and I've just uploaded some pictures of Denver and Breckenridge for your enjoyment. I sure hope you like scenic pictures of mountains! If not, I wouldn't bother looking. We're having an awesome time here and we're coping with the altitude. In fact, yesterday we did a 12-mile bike ride at 10,000 ft, which is just about the most energetic thing I've ever done. Started off okay - I felt invincible for the first few miles - and then slowly reality and my general lack of fitness kicked in. The last leg was a struggle, let me tell you! You'll all be glad to know that my buttocks are bloody killing me. (Hope you're not eating while reading this.) As you can see from the pictures, I look exceptionally stylish in a bike helmet. I think I resemble a German backpacker called Helmut - feel free to leave your own alternative comments and suggestions. Ah well, I suppose I should be grateful they found one big enough to fit my fat head! Anyway, after the day's exertions I decided to put the boozing-at-altitude-gets-you-hammered theory to the test, and was bitterly disappointed. Had five bottles of Newcastle Brown and didn't feel a thing - it's all a myth! Typical. (As you can see, my drinking is all in the name of science and investigation.) Well, time is money in this ridiculously overpriced internet cafe so I'd better be off. We've got another 24-hour bus journey ahead of us tomorrow (joy of joys) and onto the delights of Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon. High Five! Before I leave though, there's time for one more piece of mysterious Bond-esque code: V=Yes. God I feel like an international man of mystery! See you in the desert everyone.
