Got up and went for breakfast at 9:00 today in our guesthouse. We don't usually eat breakfast but it's included in the price of the room here so we may as well make the most of it :)
Plus it stops my mother complaining that I'm too skinny! Lol
Hardly got any sleep last night so we went back to bed and slept until 12:00 and realised Megan had left! We had Pad Thai for lunch at drop bar, a few blocks away... Reminds me of Thailand and how much I miss it there!
Went for a walk in the afternoon, walked around an un-named temple, not sure if it had a name it wasn't on any map we could find so we didn't have any information on it! At least we saw it!
We then went fot a walk along the riverside! Megan was right, it was very dried out, odd considering it's rainy season when it's supposed be at its highest! And it starts all the way in China! Local kids still play and swim in it!
We went back home and i skyped my mum, only for a couple minutes before her client arrived, it's so difficult to get in-touch with the woman, our communication consists of comments on Facebook and that's it!
The weather today was now, cloudy and it was the coldest it has ever been, 27°C! Weve been so used to no air-con that weve just acclamatised to the heat, so 27° to me is now freezing!! God help me when i return to England!! So we went for a hot chocolate in our guesthouse and didn't get served! We sat there 15 minutes and there was no one there to even grab for attention so we left! I hate the service here!
In the evening we went for a walk around the night market, its full of Asians with the odd one or two travellers! I bought top from a stall which I could imagine seeing in topman for around £30 which I would have bought... It cost me £2.39!!! and all of the t-shirts were all different too so I'm unique ;)
Couldn't find any Vientiane bracelets here as its not a 'travellers market' so it's real silver jewellery etc...
On the way back thought we'd try more local food! Went and sat in a cheap, local food stall rather than a restaurant! The woman who owned it was so adorable! I couldn't decide what to have but she had a BBQ in the front which looked gorge, so had a mixture which she chose! Thai sausage which was okay, different spring rolls and a Laos sausage which was so tasty! Laos food is actually really nice, not as good as Thai i dont think but better than Kmher :) all this and a large iced coffee cost £2.81! We've clearly been eating at the wrong place! And it's the only meal that has filled me up so much I don't actually want a pancake!
We went back home and i was then wide awake seen as i slept so much this morming! When your travelling every few days though its impossible to keep to a routine so my sleeping pattern is always ruined! Stayed up untill 2:00am writing blogs... Kill me!
