Was woken up on the bus this morning at 6:00am by the cute Asian girl giving out face wipes and mints! They know how to look after you!
We got off the coach and onto a tuk tuk taxi thing again to the city centre! It droped us off not far from the river. We walked around for a while trying to find a decent, cheap guesthouse, everyone I liked we could stay at but yet we had to carry on walking around because Megan didn't want to pay more as she's staying on her own! I offered for her to share with us in a three bed, which she declined! She said she didn't want to impose!
We found a room for me and annie for 1100kip ($14) with air-con and warm water, my oh my I've missed warm water!!! And Megan's was cheaper too but she had a shared bathroom, ours is private!
Our room wasn't ready until 9 so we had an hour to wait, we went for breakfast in a bakery/cafe and I had spicy noodles with pork! The meat was awfull, chewy and fatty, so I just ate the noodles!
Megans room wasnt ready until 12:00 so she wanted to use our shower, "aww hell no!" we offered for her to share with us so it was cheaper but yet she felt 'cheeky' then wanted to use our bathroom anyway! How rude! So we tried to get rid of her and told her we were going to sleep, hopefully she gets the picture now!
We unpacked and took all of our clothes to be dry-cleaned, we usually wash them ourselves but the rules in this hotel are so strict, your not allowed to hang clothes up anywhere! Cost me $3 for 3kg worth of clothes :)
We then slept for a few hours in the afternoon...
Me and annie then went and ate at a restaurant a few blocks down, expensive but looked nice and was the busiest! It was a western restaurant so I had a club sandwich! It was the smallest club sandwich I have ever had, no meat, just egg and salad :/ odd!
We went back home and got ready to go out, met Megan went for a walk to find CCC bar, every person we asked took us in the opposite direction and we spent an hour and a half looking for it! Turns out its around the block, 5/10 minutes away from our guesthouse!! Why did no one know this?!?! Annie was so annoyed and sweaty but I enjoy the walk around and take everything in as we travel... Megan just wanted food!
We finally found it and had one drink in there... We were the only people!!! The bar guy said its low season and its thursday so its always quiet! It wasn't ever like this in cambodia!
He told us to go to a club called @home, it's open until at least 2:00am when everywhere else closes at 12:00 according to local law! We did as we were told ;)
It took us forever to find the place! And we were walking further away from home, and deeper into 'da hood'!
We got there after over 30minutes!! It's so weird inside the music is really dancey and loud, so you can't talk over it but yet, tables and chairs fill the full place so there's no dance floor! it's odd you can't dance, you can't talk, it means everyone's kind of people watching!
Awks! :/
We met the owner of GQ bar, Lay! The group he was with we're going back to his bar for a lock-in so we joined when the club closed at 2:00AM :D
One of the guys with us was Chris, an American guy I met in Siem Reap who lived there with his wife... He has a new girlfriend almost every time he goes out however! Now that I've spoken to his wife back in Cambodia I think he got scared and tried telling us his name was lomad?!?! Really? Do we look stupid! So annie almost got into a fight with him, as he got so angry that we knew it was him! See why we mix with friendly locals and not 'cokeyournoseup' westerners!
She got really pissed off and ended up going home with Megan to bed at 4:00... I stayed at the party and exchanged my $6 watch which i had broken the strap off for a ring! Then we drank ourselves to sleep!
