Today we decided the best idea to get to the 'River Torrens; Paradise' walk would be to ride our bikes. Now, I don't know how I didn't notice, but Miles wore a red top and I wore my red jacket. He snuck out before I noticed and could change. With our red helments and red tops we match in these photos. Just to clarify this is not something we do often.
Despite matching we set off on our bikes to head for Silkes road and the start of our walk. The ride there was in a direction nither of us had taken before, so we noticed some interesting resturants and shops that would be worth walking to and checking out.
We arrived at Silkes road (the start of the walk) by riding along part of the walk. This walk all along a paved path, infact its the best cycling path we have found in Adelaide. The decsion to ride the walk was very quickly made and we easily smashed the expected 1 hour 30 minute walk time, down to 20 minutes. This is a popular path that circles around the river Torrens and is alive with birds and frogs. You can hear the frogs in the recording we made.
This particular walk is a section of Linear Park. Linear Park extends from the coast and follows the River Torrens all the way to Adelaide Hills. We were able to ride home via Linear park which is dotted with lots of good looking playgrounds. I would recommend riding this walk as the paths are the smoothest in Adelaide.
