Night location: Capri, Italy
A muse of the day: When Gemma went to order some handmade sandals in Anacapri, the old cobbler exclaimed "45! Oh my God!" and clutched his head. Gemma was mortified and recalled the "Long feet, long life" incident in Egypt.
Today being our last day in Capri, it was decided that we would have a relaxing day starting with a sleep in until 10am. Alas, all of us except Gareth woke up at 8am. The weather today started off overcast with a chilly sea breeze so much to our disappointment, the planned swimming day was cancelled. After a lengthy breakfast we decided to head back to Anacapri for some more shopping.
We have never explored the south western side of the island so we decided to catch a bus to the Faro (lighthouse) for lunch. Upon our arrival, the sun broke through the clouds and the breeze stilled to reveal the spectacular calm emerald water at this swimming spot. Gemma and Amber were bitterly disappointed that they had not brought their swimmers with them and therefore could not explore this new spot completely. Lunch however was fantastic so this alleviated the pain a little. On our return to Capri we also enjoyed our final lemon granita on the famous Capri terrace.
Tonight we have to pack for our last transit to Rome before returning home. To celebrate our last night on Capri we have made a reservation at Aurora, our favourite restaurant on the island.
