Today we headed north up the Dampier Peninsula. We stopped in for a tour of Willie Creek Pearl Farm. It was really interesting and we learnt how they get the oysters to make the pearls. We also learnt all about how pearls are valued. Isla was very lucky and got to model a string of pearls - it was valued at $7,500 (unfortunately, she couldn't get out the door with them still on quick enough!)
We travelled further north along a sandy, bumpy road for another couple of hours. We weren't really sure where we were going but we ended up at a caravan park called Middle Lagoon. We were a little scared driving in and not sure what we might find, but got an awesome surprise to find a lovely bay with beautiful sand and crystal clear water. There was also a whale in the water. We camped on top of the cliff, looking out at the amazing view. A campfire that night topped it all off nicely.
