Arrived safley in NYC after a 20 hr journey, headed to our hotel in a yellow cab and greeted by our very own Scottish Weather!!!
Our Week in NYC................
Been to visit all the major attractions this week, takes it's toll on your feet, many many blisters! So Kez and Suzi make sure you bring your walking shoes in August!!!!
Ground Zero - would touch the heart of any man!
St Pauls Cathedral - On the same street as Ground zero but amazingly untouched by the disaster, has lasting tributes to the people, police and firefighters of NYC.
Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island & Brooklyn Bridge - On a 1 hour boat tour, best way to catch the sights.
BB Kings Bar & Grill at Times square for some lives blues and food, amazing!!
Grand Central Station - Just like in the movies.
Empire States Building - Took us 2 hrs of q's to get to the 86th Floor but the wait was more than worth it as you will see from the photo's.
Madison Square Gardens - Huge arena for concerts and sporting events.
4th July - Macy's Fireworks Display - A few beers and massive fireworks display for Independence Day, a great day to be here!!
Central Park - Honestly it is huge!!!! 3 hours to walk around it, you can do a bike ride but we were skint!!!!!
Apart form the sightseeing we have been up to our usual hobbies which include as you all know, EATING and SAMPLING A TIPPLE!!!!! Been to Chinatown, Little Italy, Comedy Club and a Broadway Show (Dirty Rotten Scoundrals, side splitting) as well as frequented a few bars!!!
A little more than we would do in a week in good old Motherwell!!!!!
Off to San Francisco now............Missin You Already!!!!!!!
