Back in Bangkok again and unsuprisingly it is just as smoggy and dirty as it was when we left it! Im much more able to deal with it now though as the rest of north thailand is exactly the same. We went to the Grand Palace today but weren't able to get in because there was a Thai festival in progress. Not too bothered though, it saved us some money and we saw the outside anyway.
We went out last night and had a really good time. Somehow we managed to find a bar without any dancers or pervy western men. Instead there was a live band and loads of backpackers which was pretty cool. We are just about to leave Bangkok and go to Koh Sok national park where we are hoping to see some wild tigers, leopards and bears, it should be good. Unfortunately, however, we have to go on an overnight train with no air conditioning for sixteen hours. We went on a similar one on friday night and it was literally like sleeping in an oven filled with sewage. I bet you arent as jealous now hey!
Really good to hear from you all, it has definately been too long Jen, congratulations on the engagement, i bet you are really excited!
Sorry mum and dad, had loads to say to you yesterday but the line was so bad i could hardly hear a word. I was pretty suprised to hear dan say that he is jealous, have my pictures converted him? Can i just remind you dan, i havent watched t.v for over two weeks!
I am still way under budget due to having to spend no more than fifty p a meal, even in restaurants. The beer is more expensive than I thought though, fifty p a pint, outrageous!!
Hope you are all well, ill post another entry from Koh samui, on the side of a beach! xx
