Hello everyone! I just wanted to thank you for all of my birthday wishes!! I had such a great birthday with my host family, Senegalese friends and friends from my program. My faovirte part of the party at my house was when we had to hang up the balloons in the back courtyard with clothes pins on the clothes line underneath our huge mango tree! It was so great to be outside listening to Mbalax music and sitting underneath the stars for my 22nd birthday! Thank you so much for sending your love via emails and my blog postings!

I will write soon...my last entry will be my latest Pulse article so look for that and a new picture. Today is the first day of Spring Break once my last class is over at 18:00h. So that means 3 of my friends and I are taking an amazing adventure to the Casamance, which is the southern part of Senegal and very tropical! Exciting! We will be taking a 20 hour ferry boat ride from Dakar to Zinguinchor. There will be plenty of stories to tell once I get back! I apologize for not writing on my blog that muchm but I will make sure I write next week before I leave for my new internship in Fatick! Im extremely excited about that! And next Sunday is Easter and the way they celebrate it here is church in the morning and dancing the rest of the day and night! Sounds perfect to me! Ok, I am heading out! I think of you all everyday and how Im so thankful for having such a great family and amazing friends who support my adventurous life!! :) I love love love you!
