Hey All-
I know that I'm a little behind on my update on this past weekend's excursion to Santa Theresa. However, I wanna take today as an opportunity to express some gratitude for this experience. It's a free day today because Costa Ricans celebrate the Annexation of Guanacaste, the northern province of Costa Rica. There aren't classes for the colleges or high schools today.
I woke up this morning with such a great feeling. I am abroad in a beautiful country with a group of amazing people that amplify my experience ten-fold. I am so grateful for this. I wanna send a big thank you to all the people that have been involved in my experience thus far. Family, friends, coaches, teammates, compadres, and directors have made this incredible. Big shout out to my parents who have encouraged and supported me to go on this trip. It isn't very often that an opportunity like this comes along. I am learning more than I ever thought I would, having a blast doing it, and taking "La Pura Vida" to a whole new level. Anybody that ever has a chance to do something like this should definitely make an effort to. I feel like I may be sounding redundant, but it is simply breathtaking. I cannot explain how much I miss everyone back in the States, and I will be home soon enough. But for now, I'm so perfectly happy exploring this culture. Lots of love and gratitude.
