A short drive from Narilai was the best Jain temple in the area. Made entirely of marble, 29 halls, 1400 pillars intricately carved and no two were alike. We then made our way to Jodhpur. We arrived late in Narlia after a fulls day drive. The country side is changing, we left the hills and headed for the flats. Narlia is an out of the way village of ~4 or 5K. At the edge is a large granite mountian with 750 steps - you guested it, us crazy tourist that spent most of the day sitting on our butts needed some exercise, so off we went late in the day despite the looming black clouds. at the top was a monsterous marble elephant and wonderful vista...

November 12, 2010 Today we left Bijiapur at 8:30 am and arrived in Cittor a few hours later. We visted the Chittaurgarh fort whcih sits high on a hill. Built in the 8th century, it has 7 massive gates postioned on the road winding up the hill; houses and shops line the street. The fort was sacked in 1303, 1535 & 1568.
