Yesterday (thursday) we were picked up by Bill and Audrey at the Holiday Inn. The morning started out cloudy and then we got showers which then became rain!
We arrived at the farm and had a good old english cup of tea.
Audrey has a Renault Kangoo which can carry a moped, a very neat little vehicle.
I was entranced with the houses we passed on the way... They literally are on the edge of the road. The hedges and narrow roads made for an interesting drive, which was of about half an hour.
Later,David took Gordon and I back to Stansted to pick up the hire car. We got a VW polo, a metallic grey colour.
It is a great little car to drive. Today we followed Audrey into Haverhill to have a look at the shops and to get a sim card for Gordon's mobile. I could not get a sim card for the iPad so my emails will have to wait till I get to somewhere with wi-fi.
We also called in to see David Rawlings in his business. He has just moved in to new premises.
We also went to Tesco to get a few groceries then Bill and Audrey shouted us to lunch.
We had a great time over lunch and then headed home. The rain showers have persisted.
Tomorrow we are going to visit another of Gordon's cousins in Sudbury.
David has said it is too windy to go up in the balloon at present, maybe Monday.
Sunday ,Gordon will be preaching at the church, morning and evening.
Looking out of the bedroom window last night, I saw this huge rabbit come hopping in to the garden.Bill has a great veggie garden and Mr Rabbit is definitely not welcome! it was still light at 9.30pm.
