Did I ever mention that I love my time here? I mean, is it clear that I am having the best time of my life here on the other part of the world? I hope so because I really do enjoy everything that I am doing here. :( After the surfing and the beers it was hard to wake up early but I had to unfortunately. It was time to return to the blue mountains, this time with an organised tour. They picked me up here at the hostel at 8.10 in the morning. I was the last one, so the only seat left in the house was next to the driver. Therei s something with me sitting in front of cars and buses I think :P
In the first hours we were just driving to the mountains and was our guide entertaining us with stories. He knows so much that it was a pleasure to listen to him and lose ourselves in old stories about the blue mountains region. The first stop was at the scenic world. I did this three days ago, so I was on my own for one and a half hour. Not bad at all because I bought myself a coffee and took a walk that our guide had pointed out for me. It was nice to start the day with. It just had quit raining and the clouds were leaving the valleys. ;) Up next we went for lunch, which we had to buy ourselfs in Leura, one of the townships in the blue mountains. I got myself a slice of ham and egg pie for take away and some fresh cherries from a farmer and sat down in the sun to enjoy my lunch.
After lunch, we were taken to many different spots, we went to a great look out point where you can sit and feel like you rule the world, amazing!! I am going to make a photo book of this trip, and this photo will be in it, big size. I just love the shot :)) We also went to see waterfall but didn't go all the way down to be part of it. That was saved for a small waterfall. There must be a lot of iron in the rocks as we could see stalactites from orange colored material in that waterfall. It was here that our guide made a remark about my legs. I know I am sunburnt but this was the sign to tease me for the rest of the trip hehe, it was all about moisturizer. Haha only writing this makes me laugh again, this dude still remembered my name for the whole trip. I guess it is because I was the last one to enter the bus. :)
We ended our trip in the bus chasing for kangaroos, but there wasn't a kangaroo that wanted to be seen. But it's great to be guided through such a beautiful landscape and with someone with you that knows a lot about what you actually see. We saw cacatoos and one blue and red bird, no idea what it was, but it was a beautiful one. :) Via the Olympic parc we went to the ferry wharf, because we would go back by ferry to the city. I keep saying it, but I love being on a ferry. This one took it's time and we had a voice telling us about the things we saw on our way. It's interesting so I was on board with pleasure.
Earlier I got a text from my new friend from Costa Rica and i met her at the harbour again. Just a few drinks and we said goodbye. I had some shopping to do and it was a big surprise to see the supermarket here was till open at eleven at night! Straaaaaaange huh?
Tomorrow it's NYE and the fireworks here are the biggest and most famous in the world. I will go there, with Loretta, a tennisfans too who lives in Sydney. Anyway, I needed food to make it though the day because we will be there for a long time, from 8 in the morning till midnight. So now I have bread, tomatoes, my nutella, bananas, peaches, orange juice, water, pepsi cola, cookies, lollipops and chips. I should be able to survive it on that....
it's gonna be interesting tomorrow. Just like when our guide today said it when a parking was full... hmmm interesting haha, so, let me place an album of today's pics and then off to sleep. It's late here and I need my sleep to be fit and ready tomorrow. ;)
G'nite lovelies :)

Koert (van de krant en van de trein) Ha, het is je gelukt: met een kerstmuts op het strand van Sidney! Leuk al foto's. Ik blijf je volgen en een gelukkig nieuwjaar. (En vergeet die baan daar niet...).
