The last place we visited on the tour was Pushkar which is a very holy town as it has the only Brahma temple. Because of this there is no meat, eggs, fish or alcohol allowed and we had be covered up whenever we went into the village. We headed into the town in the evening for a look around, there were lots of stalls and was very hippie. It was the first time I'd seen a lot of Westerners and was one of the most touristy places we visited.
We had a look around the town and went to look at the lake which is said to wash away all your sins and then went and sat in a cafe to watch the sun set while we ate.
The next morning six of us decided to get up at 4am to climb up to a temple on the top of the hill to watch the sun rise. It was quite a steep climb and took about an hour but it was well worth it for the views. Needless to say I had quite a lazy day after that with a bit of a power nap.
In the evening we had a camel safari which was brilliant. I never realised how big camels were, it's a long way up! We rode through the village and then into the desert.
