Future music 3rd march
Today Leah took me to the Future music festival up in Joondalup with some of her Scottish friends. What a messy day and expensive day but well worth it! We started the day at Leah's friends house for a few drinks then got the train up to then festival. After a dodgy start of nearly not getting in because of my British drivers licence we were in and straight to the bar for little cans of lager costing 8 dollars each! We saw loads of acts, the highlights for me being Steve Aoki, the Prodigy and Stone Roses. It was an amazing day and ended the night going into Perth to a bar called Mustangs and a pool party back at Leah's, staying up until 630 in the morning as you do.
Fremantle with John 8th March
John took me to Fremantle again because I loved it so much but we got a train this time so that John could have a few drinks too. First thing was first to a pub where we had some food and a couple of drinks then headed down to the beach (baring in mind I've been here for a month and have yet to visit a beach), it was lush! The water was so clear and warm with an amazing breeze. We then headed over to Claremont where there was a Sculpture competition on the beach with live music and radio. The band playing were The Warning Birds so look out for them they were great, playing folk style music. After a few drinks on the beach watching the sun set we headed back to Leah's. it was a nice relaxing day, calm before the storm tomorrow night!
Casino
The night of Wales vs Scotland and kind of a mini leaving do as I'm off to Broome on the 11th. Mark had flown down as it was his week off so he met us at the Merrywell pub which is in the casino....I know what some of you are thinking 'remember Vegas?'
It was nice to be out with him Amanda and Leah as we didn't have chance to the first night in Perth and the rugby just topped it off. There we loads of Welsh people as we headed over to the sports bar and of course we were so loud they had to put the commentary on over the football! After a very tense 80 minutes Wales had won woooohooooo so of course had to celebrate with a gamble but don't worry all who know me well, I was we'll behaved put 20 dollars on and left with 70 ( I know when to stop now). Mark had disappeared with his mate so we all headed back to Leah's with some hilarious Irish guys we had met before for a few drinks and a jump in the pool. It was an entertaining night!
The next morning, after probably about 3 hours sleep, I was woken up by Mark to start drinking again and being still drunk and stupid I agreed! We headed over to the Woody with a few of the Irish lads then made our way into town to the Lucky Shag to meet John and his mate, most of this I was half asleep for but shoved a burger don't my throat to try and sober up.
After saying my goodbyes to John and Mark I started to remember that I was flying to Broome the next day and for those who know me well HANGOVER ANXIETY HAD KICKED IN! I was truly a nervous wreck that night worrying about everything, I can hear my dad saying now you've got nothing to worry about I'm the worrier of this family.
So the morning has come, it's been so sad saying goodbye to everyone especially the kids they are just the cutest! So grateful for everything everyone has done for me going to miss them all!
Next stop Broome, ahhhhh scared!!
