After a 16 hour plane journey sat next to a 6 year old and near 3 crying babies I arrived in Perth!!

My cousin Amanda, her two gorgeous kids Rowan and Eleni and John met me at arrivals with a lovely poster made by the kids and a bottle of Champagne! They only live 10 minutes away which was perfect because I was knackered, so we went straight back to theirs and opened the bubbly :)
The next few days were a bit of a blur as I was half asleep most of the time!

On Saturday, when I was feeling more alive, Amanda and Brett (Amanda's husband) took me to John Forrest National Park to have a drink the Kangaroos, they were sooo cute the little Joeys haha. We then went to an outdoor swimming pool as it was 40 degrees, I fried!
That night we went to the bar where Amanda works for a few drinks and met a bunch of Welsh people who were absolute nutters, in a good way. They kindly invited us round theirs to watch the Wales vs France match, it was such a laugh as we were all a bit drunk and were soooo glad Wales won.

After nursing my hangover, me and Amanda headed into town to watch the Ireland vs England match in Rosie's bar and ended up meeting a couple of Irish lads we had met the night before who were obviously gutted with the result. It was a good night despite the result.

Monday, John took me around to sort out all the boring stuff like setting up a bank account, getting a Medicare card and sorting out a phone. Thanks John!!

This week I ventured into town on my own and found myself just walking in circles for a while but luckily I took my iPod to navigate me to The Lucky Shag Bar, which my mum had recommended...
It was really nice to sit and have a pint looking over the river in the heat!

I have booked my flights to Broome now for the 11th March which I'm nervous about because then I really will be on my own but I am going to enjoy my time in Perth until then.
