On Wednesday I visited the Sanctuary of Truth which is a wooden temple which is being sculpted entirely from wood. It started being built in 1981 and they say it will be finished in another 15 years. It has many carvings of elephants and all things to do with the buddhist religion. It was an immense thing to see. On Thursday I went to the Pattya orhanage for a few hours. It is part of the Father Ray foundation originally set up during the vietnam war. It is now home to 180 children many of which, have special needs. There is also a school for the blind and a school for the deaf. I had a look around the small children and babies room where all the children in the cots held their arms up wanting to be picked up. I then sat in on a couple of English lessons. That was fun! The children there were just like the children at mercy and spent most of the time climbing on the tables or running around. In the evening I spent some time with Golf and ate dinner with all the kids in the house. Only a few days left and then I'm off home :o( I sometimes feel like I haven't done as much as I thought I would to help but the people at the centre say I have been a great blessing.
