Well here I am day 5! My first 2 nights in Bangkok were crazy. I stayed in the Koh San road area on the Saturday night which was an experience. Crazy people everywhere... I fitted in well! On Sunday I took a bus (which was a pickup truck) to Trat and then caught a ferry to Ko Kood. The island was really nice except it pretty much rained the whole time I was there. The people seemed friendly although they didn't understand me. I managed to squeeze in a mini kayaking trip and a beach stroll before the heavens opened again on Tuesday. Caught the boat and bus back to Trat today and then headed onto Pattya. Have been shown round the mercy centre where I shall be working over the next few weeks and also have an apartment to stay in. Its all good! Have started to feel a little homesick though but I', sure once I'm kept busy Ill be OK!
