Well.. 2 weeks down! Already dont want to go home... so much more to do and not enough time to do it all! Thursday was the Queens birthday and also Mothers day over here. The Mercy Centre's children were invloved in a parade along beach road to celebrate the day and I was invited to join in. It was really nice to be part of the celebration and to see how loyal and respectful the Thai people are of their country and royal family. In the evening I went to have a suit fitting at a Tailors and got flooded into a shop doorway due to a sudden rain storm!! I had to wade through the water in the streets which came up to my knees and had this rat the size of a small dog swim past me! It was a long journey back to the apartment that night! Yesterday I helped with the slum food delivery again. It was nice to see some of the people who I had met at the slum worship last week again, and I also had some of the children from the centre come along as they were off school. One of the older children has been assigned to me for the remainder of my stay in the hope that I can work some magic on him. He is very rebellious and the house staff have ran out of ideas on what to do with him. Quite a task......

Tan Lueng I like the flooding part and dog-sized-rat. Sounds like fun! That is real amazing Thailand. :P And goodluck with the kid. ^^
