As it was Easter weekend and the sun was shining we decided to headed for a little R&R. We went to the Southbank area of the city, where there is a lagoon and parklands, armed with our books! We spent the day lazing in the park reading which was such a nice change from being on the go all the time! That night we went into the seedy Chinatown for some tea but decided to leave after our meal, instead of heading to a peepshow!
On Easter Sunday we had a little walk to St Johns Cathedral before going to Roma Parklands, which is in the city centre, but is a huge area of parks and lakes for another day relaxing, since we did it so well the day before! We treated ourselves to a little Easter egg too! As we were celebrating that Christ had risen, we decided to do the most appropriate thing and go gambling! So we went out for a few drinks at the grand Conrad Treasury Hotel which is set in a huge old building with dozens of rooms dedicated to gambling! We even had a go on the roulette table ourselves....but with no luck!
