We picked up our car and set of for Yosemite National Park, about 4-5 hours from San Francisco. We arrived and booked into our Canvas Tent - which cost us $80 a night!! But we were based right in the centre of the National Park, and had great views, which we suppose made up for it! The first night was uneventful, in terms of sleeping, as we didn't actually get any! We had Snorey McSnore next to us and Mr Snorison behind us and the kids from hell all around!...

We walked to the farmers market for lunch and tried lots of yummy food. We then headed to Nob Hill to see Grace Cathedral, a gothic cathedral with a labyrinth inside. We both completed the labyrinth (a carpet with swirls on it!) and felt spiritually awakened afterwards! So much so that we headed for North Beach to try the Italian food and wine!

We decided to take the 1.5hr plane journey to San Francisco, rather than the 13 hours bus journey. We checked into a hotel and checked right back out, first thing the next day, after we realised we were staying slap bang in the middle of Tenderloin (the actual ghetto!). We met Mum and Rob at Las Vegas Airport then went to pick up our car...not an easy task! We couldn't remember which company we had booked it with, and our guesses didn't have reservations for us! Rob eventually figured it out, by reading the confirmation thoroughly! But we didn't have a voucher printed out so when we arrived at the Dollar rent-a-car, they wouldn't rent us a car!
