Well when we looked out the window this morning all we saw was grey and fog, oh well doesn't matter let's get outside. After a horrible breakfast from McDonald's we rugged up and headed towards the Macy's Xmas window displays. They were good but saw more impressive ones high up on fifth avenue. Next we headed in the now pouring rain to FAO schwarz which is a famous toy store that has the piano from the movie Big that you walk on and play with your feet. Because our socks were soaked and needed ringing out we decided not to do that. We all had a good time looking around especially the muppets workshop where you can make your own muppet.
Back out in the rain we stopped at st Patrick's cathedral and NYC public library. Both really impressive buildings....and warm.
Next it was off to Kmart as we are having secret Santa as it is Xmas tomorrow so I bought a little tree and we have presents under it now.
Xmas eve shopping was pretty hectic with people everywhere so soggy and wet that was so much fun :(
After drying off at the hotel we took Jacob to an anime store...hmmmm interesting people in that store including a staff member that danced and watched himself in the mirror.
So after a stop at the liquor store it was time to head back to warmth and feed the kids.....we really are looking forward to having a proper meal with veggies for Xmas lunch tmrw. Food with flavour and nutrition is craved at the moment.
