Well today was an exciting day for me. Paul woke me up at 5am and told me to look out the window, I knew what that meant so lept out of bed and saw the most magical sight. There was sparkling snow covering everything. The snow is light and fluffy, not icy at all. You would think it was fake snow touching it, it is amazing.
I drove up to the laundromat to get some washing done in the snow....pretty awesome and then we headed to Walmart and GameStop to do black Friday shopping.
I can understand the hysteria with black Friday as the discounts on electronics are unbelievable. To buy a 65 inch wifi smart hd tv is only $600. Was tempting to buy one. Kids bought gaming stuff and a tablet and DVDs. I bought a new thick bubble snow coat.....$20....bargain. We then headed towards Boston. The first place on the agenda was the cheers bar. We parked a block over and walked through the park. Well I will call it squirrel central. OMG they were everywhere and they are not scared of people. So I did a lot of squealing as they are basically rats with fluffier tails.
We then made it to cheers, now this was pretty cool for Paul and I but the kids weren't so impressed. We went in after taking photos and Paul sat in norms seat at the bar and we ordered our drinks. They make them half and half so after 2 drinks I was pretty much having a party for one.
We then left the long way around the park as I didn't want to encounter the fluffy rats again and we headed towards Salem to book into our hotel.
After checking in we headed into Salem, it was late in the day and getting very cold. So it was a brisk walk around the small town. Very cliche with witches etc everywhere but it was still worth a look. Now back to hotel to get organised to fly to Florida.
