Yay we are leaving the cheese room in cheeseville. We were up pretty early so we could leave. So off to Miami we go. It was yet another hot day but was overcast and rained on and off. We headed to Cuban Dulceria so I could try cortadito, a Cuban coffee. I didn't speak Cuban and they didn't speak english so that was interesting. But amazing coffee and I can see why people get addicted to it.....I want more now.
Next we went to find a Cuban cigar store....now that was a challenge as every place we put in the gps was closed down so after a few testy moments about trying the find it we decided to take the the kids to the Lamborghini dealership. They were very happy children and had a great time.
I entered one more address and was successful in finding a Cuban cigar. We ended up staying a while in the shop as they gave us a bit of an education and talked to us about the trip....awesome group of guys but we had to leave as they were all smoking and it was getting a bit too much.
So after all that it was time to head to fort lauderdale and check into the hotel and try and track down where Linda was and when is she getting here.
We are staying near the cruise terminal and the hotel is pretty awesome. The lady at the desk said I made her day with my positive attitude....hmmmm after a day in the car with the kids all day, attitude wasn't awesome so clearly she is easily pleased.
Managed to track down where Linda is and what time she arrives in Miami so that is a relief so all is well again.
Paul and I went to the market to get some dinner. Southern fried chicken and salad..mmmmmm yummy. Mitch then nagged me to go swimming. Being so hot I thought it was a good idea. That was until we realised it was an ingested salt water pool...brrrrrrrrrrrr.
Lesson learned today.....I would be less stressed if I was traveling alone lol
