Small 2 day trip to Edinburgh due to being able to get return train tickets for £10 :) and the hostel costing £15 definently not bad when i get to goti edinburgh for 2 days for £25 :)
Edinburgh is my favorite city ever and my plan is hopefully in the not too distant future move there.
The train was 11.10 from darlington which got us into Edinburgh about 1.30 we checked into Castle rock hostel my bed was called bigus dickus of course and wow my room looked out onto the Edinburgh Castle sooo beautiful! Quickley dropped our bags off and then decided to head out to an abandoned tram station I'd read about called shrubhill tram station, was quite a long walk but the weather was niice. We arrived at the tram station and had to figure out how to get in....considering its 'dangerous' the fact tht you could easily roll under the fence wasnt very much of a deterrance, we waiting until people walking past and we ducked under and ran out of sight of anyone and went to explore.
WOW this place was soo cool massive open space and graffiti everywhere. I went with tony who decided it was a good idea to climb up this random structure thing through the middle which was about 50ft high. While he was dicing with death i found some stairs going underground, it was scarily pitch black too luckily once tony got down we could use his phone for a torch as mine wasnt bright enough. It was pretty darn cool down there with loads of electric trip switches and stuff. And a random bridge where someone had decided to shot a bike, but it made for some very interesting pictures.
We headed out of the biggest building and headed to the one right next door which was a bit smaller and had no fun bits to climb on. We decided to head out and for some reason i decided on a James Bond style roll to get out which just made me get stuck in the fence like a doyle. Headed back to the hostel for a quick lie down and met up with arlene so she could introduce us to a kewl band, the plan was to have a few bevvies then head back but we ended up out till 2am. Managed to check out in time for the 10.30am check out but now we had not a lot to do.we went for a breakfast at a cute as american diner place and then We sat on a bench in princess park to chill out and i read my lovely little book. We wandered around a little and decided to head to the scottish museum of history never been before and it was free so bonus! This place was amazing!!! The name fools u into thinking its just gonna be about scottish history and s*** and its bsically a national history museum ended up there for like 2.5 hours before heading to get some food for our train journey home. Goodbye Edinburgh i f***ing love you!!!
