Another tick on the bucket list was to be had today riding on a camel!!! Well i was sort of cheating a bit as a camel is one with two humps as the ones in morocco only have one hump its technically a dromidery balls! Close enough though they had carpets and saddles over there hump/s so i couldnt see them anyway and their faces look the same so it still counts! I startedmy day by furiously covering my entire body with mozzie repelant which had become a daily ritual for me really but today i went all out, camels + heat = mozzies. Once feelin sufficiently greased up we got our lift to head out to our camel ride and arrive at a half horse riding half camel place...why youd go somewhere where you can ride camels and go on a horse is beyond me but hey ho. My first impressions of the camels were holy s*** there big! Im gonna be very high up, but i was excited so off we went joyce and I were on the lead camel, obviously we looked like naturals. After watching sevrel videos on you've been framed where people falloff camels when there getting up i prepared myself and held on tight...it's totally not that hard which now makes those video's even more hillerious. We had to wait while everyone else got on their camels and off we went at break neck speed...well more of a snails pace but it was rather relaxing. The flies were goin crazy round the poor camels face our camel we effectionatly called cedric and the one behind us was humphrey, of course. The walk was pretty uneventful but nice non the less, the worst part was turning round to come back at some still water...hello mozzies, in the 5 minutes it took us to turn i got bit like 7 times bloody great even with mozzie repelent. So we headed back got some tea and a little cake and got our photos which wernt too expensive so bonus. Once we got back to the hotel all we had to do was shower and relax before relaxing even more at our massage. Once we got to our massage i was slightly nervous as it was a 2 hour full body massage so we had to undress and robe up slightly unconfortable. The massage was amazing!!!! I do wish she'd been a bit rougher especially with my legs but hey ho i still ended up falling asleep at the end even tho she did massage my boobs a bit acca awkward!
Our evening meal was back at le nil bleu tonight but myself and joyce just ended up having 2 starters as the next morning we were setting off at 7am which also ment checking out before then as tomorrow was our last day and we were going on an all day 4 x 4 tour, yey someone else driving!!!
Half asleep as whatever o'clock, checked out and ready for pick up at whatever o'clock, im tired, what time is it? I will sleep on the way to the mountains and i do ahh nice and refreshed! But were now back in the mountains ARGHHHH scary altho not being in the drivers seat was a lot better!
The views throughout the trip were phenomenal!! Mountain ranges as far as the eye could see WOW! We stopped for a few photo oppertunities with a huge view over the mountains, near a gorge over looking a cute little town and near a valley beautiful!
After driving round getting snap happy way too much we stopped for a quick stop for tea and bread in a little house in a village got followed guy some kids and obviously they were wearing barcelona and man united football shirts. We mooched on to a restaurant near a 'waterfall' i appreviated waterfall as its usually a waterfall but we were there in dry season so it was just rocks with water marks not as spectacular as a waterfall, the meal was well moroccan salad, tagine and the sweatest thing known to man. Joyce diddnt eat anything here as there were cats hanging round all the tables :( this made me sad but i can only imagine having a fear that bad. We ended up staying here forever as our guide decided to have a little nap which i of course awoke him from ruude. We got on our way and headed down into paradise valley which i can imagine were it not dry season would have been soo beautiful, it was still pretty and i saw a turtle in the water! Being from england where you only see that sort of stuff in zoo's or pet shops loved it! Definently loved it more than stroking a stray dog that on second look was absoloutly teeming with ticks :( soo sad. We headed back to the hotel at this time as it was nearly 4pm we'd had a very long and fearful trip today with some amazing views, now just back to the hotel to sit, try and eat and wait for our 9pm transfer to the airport.
The airport was uneventful had a smoke, had a coke and got on the plane home.
My conclusion on morroco is a beautiful country full of culture and some of the nicest people ever always happy to help, and give a general good morning greeting! Id definently love to visit again in wet season to see it in its full glory waterfalls an all! Dry season is too hot for me :( im a weak ass northener used to rain and wind mozzies and head do not bode well with my bodies eco system. Goodbye morocco its been a pleasure and because of you ive ticket off a few must do's on my bucket list, i thank you!
