Today Trevor and ourselves took the train to Perth, it takes around 30 minutes on the train from where they live and Erin kindly gave us a lift to the station which is around 10 minutes away. Trevor was going to be our willing tour guide for the day, we started with a walk around the CBD and the main shopping area which is relatively small and doesn't take too long.
We made our way down to Swan River and walked along the bank for a bit before heading for some lunch in a restaurant on the water front called The Lucky Shag (I am hoping it is called after the bird). We had a lovely light lunch whilst sweating profusely in the mid-day sun!
Next we walked up to Kings Park which is a massive park area inside the city which has lovely views that overlook the whole city, it is very impressive. Here we stopped for a soft drink before heading back to the station to catch the train home before rush hour. Perth was a lovely little city, compact and bijou.
Sarah and Erin picked us up from the station and took us home for a freshen up before heading down to the marina for some dinner. After a pit stop at the drive through liquor store (I know, amazing!) it was back to the house for another evening at the pool.
