Day 56 - Sydney
We awake and our legs are surprisingly not achey from yesterday.
We go to a local coffee shop for breakfast and to make use of their internet so that we can be prepared for arriving in Bali on thursday (having the hotel address always helps) and try to get accomodation for Gili Meno and Gili Air sorted. Unfortunately the hostels in the Gili's dont seem to have their own websites so we've emailed a few and fingers crossed one of them will have a room for us!
After breakfast we came back to the hostel to do some much needed laundry before going for one of our final wanders around Sydney. From doing the climb yesterday we received a free a ticket for one of the pylon lookouts at the bridge and its a lovely sunny day so we decide to go and make use of the ticket.
The pylon has lots of information of how the bridge was made, how long it took etc and the views are lovely. Si was getting all technical doing his panoramic shots of the city and everything. The look out point is also quite high so we got to see most of the views from last night in the day light so we've seen the best of both now, I wouldn't so either was better as they are both so different and good for different reasons, just glad we got the chance to see them both.
After our sightseeing we came back to the hostel for some dinner before going back out to watch the Expendables! We'd heard that the reviews weren't that good but lets face it nobody watches this sort of film for the story line you watch it for brutal fights and lots of guns and explosions and we weren't disappointed. I wont go into detail in case any of you haven't seen it and are going to but the first scene was ace, definately a good opener! Anyway the film was brilliant go and see it if you haven't already.
Once the film had finished we went across the road for a chicken burger from Oporto (not as nice as KFC though) and its next to a Krispy Kreme which gives you a discount if you've been to the cinema the same day and still have a ticket ... my lucky day then! I took the chance to get what might be my last Krispy Kreme for a while but Si wouldn't join me he says the original glazed are boring (if you ask me they are the best ones!)
We headed back to the hostel to pack our stuff and get everything ready for check out tomorrow and our 6 hour flight to Bali. We cant wait to spend the next month lying on a beach doing nothing YAY!
