Namaste!!

India is crazy about skin whitening! It is so bazaar and wrong I can barley stand it!Every other TV add addresses 2 things

1.Hair!It is long, silky, shiny, and always blowin' in the wind!Talk about some cheesy hair commercials! Women put olive oil...egg whites...and other stuff in their hair to keep it lookin' shiny! Long....shiny hair is really sexy here!

2. Skin whitening creams (yeah random!).There is one commercial that I saw at least 5 times in an hour.It is a beautiful India woman who was with a handsome Indian man…they were totally lovin' each other.But DRAMA he found a new woman…the only difference between the two women is that the new one has much lighter skin! Da-da-duuuaaahh!So the darker…and obviously less superior woman walks in front of a tv and sees the add for whitening cream! Light bulb moment! She must have the cream to get the man of her dreams back…or to attract a new man!Vomit! It is so nuts! Its totally racist and discriminatory!Oh by the way you can buy whitener that will make you just pale or buy the kind that makes you pale and rosy.Nice touch right?! Ha!

It is weird that a TON of Americans (except for Carrie and I- go pasty!) are totally obsessed with being dark!At least all Indians are doing is putting on creams…and not burning their flesh…causing skin cancer..and going to look like leather in 10 years! Ha! (no offence to any of you hard core tanners…but really just stop..its bad!)

Monsoon is early this year...so they say...and today it rained all day! Time to break out the ponchos and rain boots!! I have found that temp is relative!It was 92 degrees the other day and I heard three people say that "it is cold in Delhi!" Cold is like 25 degrees people! SNOW…ICE….GLAICERS….TOUNGE TO POLE COLD!But rest assured that the weather is "back to just hot" meaning "normal" which is average 100 to 120 degrees!I'm thinking of the heat as a cleansing agent for my pores….its like walking into a sauna with hot coals…steam…yeah…pretty much! I love Julie's air conditioning after a long day of "sauna time"! OH! As I'm writing this I wanted to also mention that I saw a show titled "Monsoon Makeovers" HA! It's a show that shows women how to still stay stylish and make their beauty withstand the monsoon! For example…the "best" rainproof mascara and the trendiest rain gear! It was really funny! So my whole blog has been about TV…I promise I have done much more than just watch TV recently! Haha!
