G'day Maaaaaaaaaaaate,
Apparently the longer you stretch the mate the more you like the person you are taking to.
The internet is still being rubbish so i cant upload pics which im gutted about as i cant make youu all jealous and you are probably bored of listening to me rabbit on. But oh well..................deal with it!
Where did i get to oin my amazing adventure story,? at the moment im in Cairns so im a little behind in my story telling, been having too much fun!
Rockhampton....oh yes.
From there i caught a bus to Airlie Beach to jump on a ferry from Shute habour to venture over to Long Island, part of the whitsunday group of Islands, there are 74 in toltal but i had been told this was the nicest so thought id give it a bash. Sadly no photos at all from here as i lost my camara, i recieved a particularly mean email from someone who i care no to mention And im sure you can all gather who as it was none of you, and it throw me and i ended up leaving my camara in the internet cafe in Airlie Beach. Buit anyway all was not lost as i retrieved it on my way to Cairns and i was still with Rachale and Jeneva so they are going to email me the pics we took.
It is truely beautiful here so quiet and plain, with just beach and palm trees, quiet a few pwople came here to get married it is sooooooooooo beautiful. But anyway back to me!
We spent the first night just chilling out and watching a band play (Jimmy G) what a name, he was equally as cheesy. The next day we caught a few ferries and jumped to some of the other Islands. Hamilton Island was the first stop the to Day Dream Island, not really much to right about as we just attempted to bath in the sun and relax. Sadly you really all are going to think i have sat in my flat all this time coz i dont really have much of a tan. This makes me sad. It was good to relax as i have been up between 4 and 7 every morning to catch buses etc and try to sqeeze in as much as i can before i have to come home.
Next we went to Whitehaven Beach, the most photographed Island, it was just solid golden sand and nothing else. Sunbathing was no an option as every time we laid down the sand was so fine it just blew all over you so we made a friend (Emma from Norwich) and played like children building sandcastles asn snorkelled, not much to see tho as you have to go really far out, also we had to wear these beautiful outfits called stinger suits as it is the season for deadly box jellyfish. Thjey were sexy............!!!!!
They had mittens and a hood, if i dont manage to get any other photos i will amke sure i get one of these, i have never laughedso hard, i looked hot.
This is the most relaxed ive been i think, just sitting and admiring the view and how lucky i am to be here looking at it all. Ive never seen anything like what i have seen here and i wish i could describe it all to you. If i dont manage to uploa these photos, a) il download them when i get home or b) when i make my photo album i will bore you all supid showing them all to you. Give me and excuse to talk about myself a bit longer and to catch up with you all and the gossip.
i was tempted to apply for jobs along the way, this is an awesome place to be, Oz in general. But most of all it has made me realise how lucky i am to have friends that i can count on, all my limbs and the ability to experience all these marvelous things, the adventure has only just started. im going to be a bum for the rest of my days!!!!! Thats enough mush for now, but just wanted to let you all know that i really appreciate your friendship.
Anyway we ended our adventure here playing in the pool and enlisting most of the other residants in a game of boys Vs girls water rugby, which i must say got a LITTLE competitive and nasty resulting in me loosing a piece of bikini! We then went frog hunting that night before we left. There was a path which was just covered in green tree frogs and these guyus who we met who were doing a documentry on 7 american travellers for MTV took us to play with them. You cant hold them though as the acid on your hands can kill them but they jump all over you, i had them io my hair, down my top and in by drink! it was awesome until we saw them being eaten by the birds! sad.
We had a big group photo taken that night of all the people we had met and played with, its a really friendly place, about 35 of us altogether and then me, Rachael and Jeneva, Clare (from Crydon) and Emma ventured to Cairns collecting my camara back from Airlie Beach along the way.
We were looking at al the other photos before i left tho and i saw a pic of Jen a girl i went to uni with who used to go out with my ex Simon May so i hunted her down and now im going to find her
