So here I am in La Fortuna. And how different it is from the coast. Costa Rica is such an amazing country with so much diversity in its eco systems, landscape, vegetation and wildlife. It have everyhing that you could want, from the beautiful beaches and clear waters, to the rich, lush green rolling hills to it dense, vast forestries all hosting a variety of different wildlife and vegetation and the people are all so friendly even to an obvious gring (what they call white foreigners) like myself.
Arrive in La Fortuna after a 3 hour drive. I had to fork out $30 (18 pounds) to pay for a private shuttle to take me directly to La Fortuna as there is no direct route via public transport so I had to bite the bullet and pay up, but it was not all bad as I met 2 gorgeous Canadian lads who I ended to spending my time in La Fortuna with.
Unfortunately, owing to the fact that time was fastly running out, I only stayed 1 night in La Fortuna. I wish I had more time to spend here as despite the town being relatively small and offering little in the form of entertainment there is so much beauty here. From its vast cloud forests in which you can do a variety of different activities like hiking, canopy tours, suspension bridge walking, to its beautiful waterfalls and water pools in which you can swim.
So all in all a great place to spend a few days. So as I only had one night I spent it the only way fitting, with 2 hot, half naked guys in a hot spring, sipping cold beers and cocktails. Such a good night!!! The hot spring was made up of a number of different pools each varying in style, theme and temperature and best of all there 3 different bars all in water, so you could buy and sip beer and alcohol to our delight. It was so relaxing, exactly what the doctor ordered, a night of relaxing in hot spring sipping alcohol and accompanied by hot men......heaven!!!!!
Unfortunately, after just one night in La Fortuna it was time to move onto the next place, South to Monteverde.
Let seem what Monteverde has to offer....
