Up at 4am for our taxi to the airport and flight to Koh Samui. A bit nervous about what we are going to because this is the bit I booked :-/ Koh Samui is well known but not usually for its tranquil atmosphere and quiet beaches.

We landed at an amazing airport. None of the steel and glass of the super slick Bangkok airport. A bit of a distance to our hotel but once we got there I realised had nothing to worry about. Extra special :D A little apartment to ourselves with an outdoor sitting area, lovely room and an outdoor sunken bath :) The pool was fab too, a beautiful, quiet beach and turquoise water, not too many boats but plenty to watch, a nice outside inside dining area, scorching sun and free kayaks :D Bliss! And that's basically where we stayed for four days drinking cocktails, reading, lazing, sleeping, 'chatting' with a Frenchman who spoke no English and a wee visit to the busy Chaweng beach for a look. We had a wee party to go to on the Saturday night but otherwise very peaceful. Magic.

Now im sitting by the pool at the Bangkok airport hotel (which doesn't really compare) waiting to head for our flight home :( Cant wait to catch up though and ill try to add some photos here too :) xxx
